Hiring a tow vehicle if in a medical emergency

Are there services out there to tow your fifth wheel home if you were to get disabled temporarily due to medical issues? Call a dealer ? What lists he may have?

Maybe contract through a local trucking company or towing service. A buddy of mine here has a towing service and has hauled everything from motorcycles to motorhomes under various circumstances.

That's the advantage of having SKY MED or similar travel/medical insurance. They have people who will get your truck and fw/trailer or MH back to your residence as well as you family members and pets.

I sincerely hope everything is ok and that this is just a hypothetical question.

Good Sam TravelAssist. It's cheap and paid annually. I haven't used it, but my dad fell carrying something down hill and broke his ankle on a trip. My mom had no idea how to hitch up the trailer. They sent someone out to help her. They even offered to drive it back, and get them home. It was only a couple hours, so she just drove home while pops was hopped up on oxy in the passenger seat. He had four pins put in it 3 days later.

Sorry for your fall but I'm happy it wasn't more serious and you were able to make it home. Best of luck in your recovery.

Glad to hear you made it home safe and that it wasn't more serious. Take care and heal quickly!

You opened my eyes to something I never really gave much thought to. Sory for your mishap, glad it wasn't something much more serious...

I haul RVs sporadically in my down time through a service called UShip. However, I will warn everyone to read reviews and be confident who you hire. Lots of contracted load finders with drivers who don't know RVs. I have picked up failed loads at rest areas and truck stops cause other drivers left them. The cheapest bid is not always the best if you care about your rig. I know you are just looking for a what-if, this might help you. Hopefully, none of us ever need it for a medical issue.
