How empty does rv need to be for service visit.

Taking my 5th wheel in soon to have the front cap redone. Do people empty everything out of it when they take it in? Could depend on what you are having done I guess too.

I dont keep much in it most of the time. I'm not too worried about people stealing the TVs. They are cheap enough I would welcome the reason to upgrade.

With the front cap being worked on, I would have your front compartments and under bed storage empty at a minimum. I wouldn't worry about stuff in kitchen cabinets etc. They shouldn't have to work in that area.

Just had our cap done. Emptied the fridge. Left everything else. Make sure you turn off the 12 volt master switch. Close the roof vents and all windows. Lock up trailer and let them do their work. Ours was in the paint shop Tuesday thru Friday after labor day. It was inside and in a locked shop. Got it home and applied 3-4 coats of good wax. All good now just waiting on the cheque to cover the cost.

I would take a quick video inside and out to document your belongings and condition.
Problems are not always common, The issue most likely won’t be with your dealer but with the tweakers stealing for drug money. They will break in even through your vents and unlock from the inside and take the TV out through the door.

I would remove anything in the area they are working on that isn't bolted down including the mattress if needed. I have seen a mattress leaning on the outside of a unit being worked on with no cover. I could not see if they had anything underneath it on the ground but wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t.
