Ice Maker

When winterizing last year I did not pump anti freeze into the ice maker. I used our air compressor to blow the line clear(worked for the past two years). So when we pressured the system this year we had water running out of the under-belly. Is there a trick locate the leak or do we just need to start removing the under-belly? Thanks!!

From the members other contributions, I believe that they have a North Point. I'm moving this over to the 5th Wheel section.

Why are you sure it’s the icemaker?

Have you checked the water solenoid in the fridge?
If you did not pump antifreeze through the refer water system, you may have a broken solenoid located at the base of the fridge. Not hard fix, just time consuming if you don't have an access panel on the outside of the camper.

I didn’t see any water at the back of the fridge. Would it come out there?

If the water solenoid was frozen it would have popped it's freeze plug thereby allowing the water to flood out of the ice maker/water dispenser as soon as you attach the city water to input of your unit. You would have a lot of water coming from under the slide on which the fridge is located and finding its way to the outside of your camper.

That could be it. We had water coming out through the bottom of the slide out and near the low point drain towards the center of the coach. Now to locate the water solenoid.

The valve is behind the fridge on usually the lower right side. Just follow the water line and you will fibd it, have to get behind the fridge.

I have easy access to the solenoid/water valve. Is there a way to test it?

You should check for 12v dc at the two terminals when the ice maker or water dispenser activates.

Also you should hear the solenoid buzz or hum when it opens to permit water to enter.
It is easy to swapout, make sure power is off first! Check youtube for a video to assist in removing the in/out water lines.

Best way to test is with a volt meter set to dc. Touch the terminals on the valve with the probes when the power is on and the ice maker is cycled. You should have 12vdc indicated when the ice maker demands water.

Easier way is to get a glass of water , you should hear the solinoid open with a buzz or hum.

I also have a 2019 377rlbh, froze me solenoid valve the first winter, didn't get all the water out. As soon as I opened the valve in the island to send water to the fridge I could here it spraying out. It was an easy fix but getting to it was a b!+<h and a half. I now have a spare on hand but fortunately have not had to use it. If you don't have water spraying out of the valve you may have popped the line that feeds from the valve under the island to the fridge.

If it's coming from the underbelly it is probably a split elbow. If it was the solenoid it would be coming out behind the fridge.

No H20 to Icemaker

Hi all! Trying to figure out why my icemaker is not getting water. Norcold 2118, 21 Pinnacle 32RLTS. Traced the line, and I found the valve behind the drawer to the left of the fridge, it is open, no water. Jayco 5 ga jug full, small water spigot near sink works, and has water. Where does the fridge icemaker water supply line tie into that system?
Under the slide? Basement? Is there only I shut off valve?
Thanks!
