Insurance Coverage for a 5th Wheel

I'm in the process of finding Insurance for the 5th wheel and was wonder what type of coverage most others have on their 5ver. Also, I'm not a full timer.

What I'm currently looking at getting is:

* Total Loss Replacement/Purchase price for Physical Damage
* Comprehensive: $500 Deductible
* Collision: $500 Deductible
* Disappearing Deductibles & Scheduled Medical Benefits included
* Emergency Expense: $2000
* Vacation Liability: $300,000
* Roadside Assistance: None (Have it from Jayco for now)
* Replacement Cost Personal Effects: $5000
* Scheduled Personal Effects: None

The cost on this would be about $61/Month from progressive.

I have Geico on mine currently and it runs about 3 bills a year. I have about the same as you listed in covered compenents and roadside assistance as well as hotel accomodations if the trailer is uninhaibitable due to damage.

They have upgraded recently to covering personal injury and property while at campgrounds or disconnected from the TV. That's a key component you need to include. Some policies just tag onto the back end of your TV which once you unhook and camping the camper is on it's own and your coverage for personal injury is removed in some cases. There's some fine print you need to confirm about how the policy is set up. The same is true if your tralier is on your property, the homeowners policy will cover some claims. I think Progressive does this type of coverage and you may be going the right direction but you will want to confirm not assume.
The guy who bought my last tralier was an insurance dealer and was nice enough to give me the insight on the different type coverages out there and how they work or don't when you or someone is hurt on your campsite and have a claim.

I've got state farm covering my TT and its roughly $125 a year for full coverage... Also got roadside coverage with my pickup now...

Which isn't bad...
