Jayco designer

Can someone please tell me how to get freshwater in my tank? We have tried everything. The manual says nothing we constantly have to have it hooked up to a water supply to use it.

Sorry, I was asking how to get freshwater in my tank for an 2001 jayco designer legacy. There's no ports that say freshwater. Just can't hook up

Do you have a couple valves near the water hook-up that look like this?

Place the black valves in the city tank fill position. That should take city water and put it in the fresh water tank.

Turn your valves to match “city tank fill” and hook your water hose to it.
Turn valves to normal to use your onboard pump

Definitely.......and Country tank fill lets you use your pump to fill the tank from a jug.

Sometimes I think the manufacturers make things too complicated and install things that can cause headaches. My previous rvs had a fill port to fill the fresh water tank and a hook up for city water. No valves to break or remember to have set the right way.

Our brand new Pinnacle has the grey and black tank dump valves mislabeled. Try that for a head scratcher. Dealer says Jayco uses the same labeling on all the 5th wheels, but would pass it on to them. Even he was not aware of this until i pointed it out to him.

Another common problem among all brands, at least the 2 that I have owned and heard from others. Sadly it's one more thing that needs to be verified on a new unit once. It's not likely to change after getting it straight the first time.

Very true. Shame we traveled home with a 3/4 full gray tank since that valve is also at a different location from the other three in the wet bay. Getting educated in this RV world in a hurry, lol. A few days ago I found another dump valve with a white handle. You couldn't see it on the PDI because of the slide being out. I remember how hot it was in that asphalt, we just wanted back in the cool AC inside. There is also a low point drain marking outside on the slide. I couldn't figure out what it was, pulled it and a dribble of water came out. Later that day, dealer texted me, saying another unit had come in with the same valve, never seen it before he said, but it is the fresh water tank drain. Completely on the other side if the others in the back.

My 2001 designer delux looks the same. The picture showing valve positions is from pg&e 31 of the owners manual. I copied it and attached it near the valves as well. Refer to it when filling and sanitizing.
