Leaking window

Gonna tackle a leaking window this week. Water coming in sides of bedroom emergency window. Most evident when washing RV. I have ordered correct gasket material from Jayco. I plan to remove valance and roller blind. Then take out the many screws on clamp frame that surrounds the window on the inside. The window should then come out from the outside. I'll clean the
exposed window hole and remove old gasket from window and clean it, install new gasket and reinstall it. Any insight would be appreciated. Wish me luck.

Some have said to silver tape the rough opening to help seal the lamenant, then go about installing window.
I would then use Lexel clear caulk to seal the new window, not a fan of the putty tape. I have used Geocel Pro Flex in the past, but have switched to the lexel. Haven't done windows but outside bay doors.

Leaking window tackled. After removing clamp frame from inside, it became evident where the leak was. Daylight was visible at the top of window frame. The window opening is big enough to allow the window to move up and down in the opening. I had to bias the window up to get a good seal.
