Leaving the Jayco family

Well the DW and I went shopping today. We had two fifth wheels to look at, a leftover 2020 Eagle 321RLTS and a 2018 Cougar 344MKS. Saw the 321 at the stealers and really liked it then drove two hours to look at the Cougar offered private sale. They were both gorgeous. The ‘18 has been meticulously maintained. The major difference was a warranty with the Jayco but $12k higher out the door price. That is not an insignificant amount of money. We debated for several hours, but with as nicely cared for as the Cougar is, we felt that 12k could pay for a lot of repairs on that unit so we pulled the trigger. Will pick it up next Friday.

I’ll miss our 30.5RLS, but either of these units will provide a lot more living space for us and the pup. I plan on hanging around these forums since there is a ton of great posters and information here. Hopefully, this new rig is as dependable as our Jayco has been!

As nasty Greta said, "How dare you!" Seriously, congrats on the new purchase. That is a lot of coin to save and normally private buyers won't try to hide stuff like some dealers will. They are campers just like us, so they know how campers age and what people look for and what damages can be expected.
