New recliners

We don’t need the sleeper couch any longer and mrs. wants to replace with dual recliners. Good or bad idea? Has any one done this and have any pointers or sources?

We did. Best decision we ever made. The original sleeper was uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time so we got the recliners. They were as comfortable as the ones I had in the house. The only real drawback is when you drop a bag of M&Ms A bit difficult to clean way back under them

Did you get them at a regular furniture store or do they make special for campers. Are they wall hugging?
Thanks

New recliners

La-Z-Boy recliners have removable backs and should easily fit through the door. I have one and they’re very comfortable.

We got ours as made for RV's as they fit just right. Our space was only 63" wide. Two std recliners (with arms on both) would not fit in our space so I went with RV specific ones (they come in various configurations for different spaces. The narrowest (ours) do not have an armrest between the two seats.

Camping World of El Paso, where we bought out trailer. It was a good sale but not as good a price as you can get elsewhere.

We bought ours from etrailer.com with free shipping. We bought the Thomas Payne recliners that come standard in some RV's. Way more comfortable than the sofa and the sale price was great too. And being made for Rv's, they fit through the door better than others we looked at.

I too removed the “L” sofa and like Festor replaced it with a Thomas Payne selection. In my case 3 section theater seating recliners. They are modular so you can put the pieces together to get what works for you. I bought ours from CW as they were on sale. Very comfortable and they fit thru the door.
