Outside shower question

When winterizing, I noticed the outside shower faucet is leaking. It looks like that stem where the hose is attached has a very small predrilled hole in it. It's leaking through that small hole. I think the stem is non removable but not positive. I've never used it before. Is there a fix for that or do I need a complete new facet assembly?

That's a check valve of sorts, your inside shower should have one too. Not unusual to drip after the water is turned off, just the anti-freeze makes it more noticeable.

That would be the anti-siphon feature to prevent water from the shower head returning to the water system in case of pressure loss.

Not a drip. Comes out a steady stream when I was running the head wide open. I could understand a drip or so, but I've never had one just run out while using it.. So it sounds like the check valve is not working properly.

You have to replace it. Not for winterizing, but in the spring. The check valve is bad. I just replaced mine this spring as it was doing the same thing when on.

Thank You , next warranty work is at the factory. Just wanted to make sure there was nothing else I could do before having that added to the existing list.

Relplace it with this.
I had it on my SOB too. It was the first thing I changed when I got the NorthPoint.
I think Tom did too and I think it is on the 2018’s.
It is actually useful with a sprayer on the end, compared to the useless shower head
