Pinnacle kitchen lights

Hey Pinnacle Gang

In our kitchen slide there are two overhead dome lights; one centered over the stove and one centered above the TV. We can’t find a way to turn them on. We both suspect that they are meant to be operated by the light switch to the left of the stove that now turns on the pantry closet light located between the two.

Before I pop the fixtures and grab the multimeter, can someone confirm our hypothesis about the switch? It would be a great help.

Thanks as always

Angus

You describe the lights as “dome”. Our 5th has a bunch of lights that I’d describe that way. Depending on the year they may be halogen or LED. Ours were halogen and started failing pretty quickly. I replaced all bulbs with LED bulbs. Remove the lens and determine if it’s a bulb or LED. Use gloves when handling halogen bulbs. Oil on your fingers will cause the bulb to fail quickly.
Ohm out the bulb to see if it’s an open circuit. Then check for 12v at the fixture.

Yeah I should have mentioned that it’s a 2019 so likely led like all other lights here. We just sold sticks and bricks so I’m done with halogen forever.
I can call Jayco but it will late be next week before I have time off on a weekday. I suspect the puck types of those lights weren’t wired correctly to that switch.

I had the same confusion with our 2018 North Point. Try looking under the cabinets. The switches are hard to see if you are standing up.

Thanks Chopperdoc. We just had a great belly laugh thanks to you. I’m at work but phoned home and relayed your tip to Joan. The next thing I heard was “son of a b...h”!!!!

And she also found some more useful outlets....

Thanks again as always. Another one off the list.

Angus

And Al that’s where we found those kitchen outlets that I had told you did not exist! We are still getting a chuckle over it.

I'm sure you'll be discovering stuff 12 months from now that you didn't know existed
