Rubber Gasket on Slide-out Messed Up

The rubber gasket on the top center of my slide out is coming off. Center 2' or so has pulled off. It looks like it was held on by metal teeth built into the gasket that rusted out and are busted up. Anyone ever have this happen?? Any great ideas on how to fix it w/o removing the 12' slider from the camper. Is there a way to drop the slider an 1" or so to give me room to get in back in place and maybe rubber cement it in or something??? BTW I have 2004 Jayco Eagle 305 BHS.

try to maintain the gaskets flexible don't let them dry out .. the sun will do this ... I quick recommendation is to spray those suckers with silicone spray to keep them up and running ...

The survey sez: ?????? Crocha617's turn to chime in with the answer...

(BTW - I use 303 protectant to keep the rubber soft and smooth but that won't fix the rust)
