Schwintek Inwall slideout not working

Year 2017 Model 321 RSTS 5th wheel

Motor 1 receiving error code of 9 on controller.
Manual states error code 9 is:
"Hall power short to ground: power to encoder has been shorted to ground: usually a wiring problem".

Motor 1 will run if power is applied to it. It appears wiring from controller to coach connector is failing.

Most likely the set screw has come loose in motor 1 allowing it to spin and pull the wiring harness out of the motor. Sometimes if you are lucky it will not damage the harness, other times it will be damaged beyond repair and need to be replaced. Is the slide currently in or out?

Also look inside on the bottom of the slide for a plug in connector joining 2 cables. That's another place it can hang up and get loose.

Swap the plug in wire connectors at the controller and make sure the error changes to Motor 2.
Then you will know it’s not a problem with the controller.

Ours was a wire connector from the controller to motors.

I had the same error, I replaced the wire between the motor and controller, has been working perfect since then

2014 Pinnacle 36 KPTS kitchen slide won't go out and controller CODE 8 - WIRE SHORT BETWEEN CONTROLLER AND MOTOR. Does anyone have a good suggestion for manually moving this long heavy slide out?
With motor 1 and 2 wires removed from controller 4 men inside can't get the slide to budge. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Curly
