schwintek slide motor cable routing

I have 2018 28.5 RSTS and had trouble with kitchen slide motor #1. After trouble shooting for a couple of days I found that the cable to the slide motors in routed between the floor and the top of the frame and was pressure shorted at that point. I was able to insert a rod a littler bigger than the cable and cure the pressure short. Is this wiring normal of did someone modify wiring before I got the trailer?

Cannot be sure if it is normal or not, but looking at the wiring in my rig i would not be a surprise if it was factory.
