Slide out motors syncing

When I bought my unit last week I was told to hold the slide out switch for a few seconds after the slide had completed it's travel (in or out) to allow the slide motors to sync up. Otherwise the slide over time would not travel evenly and eventually end up on an angle and cause damage. That's a new one for me and have owned several other units with slides. Your thoughts

That applies to the SCHWINTEK system and yes that'a what you do Also you do not stop them midway. Always all the way in or all the way out.

Yep Had ours to the Jayco factory. Had issues with the big kitchen slide. Factory foreman came from swinteck. Said all the way in or all the way out. Don't stop midway. There are only two motors each have two gears one top one bottom on each end of slide. 500:1 gear ratio on the motors. Small but powerful. Our issue was the Wall channel that motor mounts in was twisting causing binding. Changed up the reinforcement plates from aluminum to steel. No more twisting no more binding! No issues since!

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll make sure I always run them all-in or all-out
