Question Sliding Battery Tray

I've been thinking about purchasing a slide out battery tray to make accessing the batteries for checking water levels, etc. Anyone have any experience with one? Had one in a motor home I owned many years ago and it was super convenient.

Here is who made the one on my Seneca: Storage Systems, Sliding Trays, Storage Trays

They probably don't deal direct to individuals, but they likely could recommend a retail dealer. And they might be able to recommend a specific product.

I have also looked a little into a sliding tray for my fiver but sadly struck out. They are in a sealed compartment and are mounted on a fixed shelf.

Not much room to play with for a slide out. Anyone overcome this in a fifth wheel.

BTW, I think MorRyde will sell to individuals.

This is actually on the list of things I want to do on the 377RLBH. Just have to find the right sliding tray!

The battery shelf in our 377rlbh was a joke, the shelf was cracking, the batteries were hard to service......so I took it out! I carry 4 batteries and placed them all on one level in the floor of the compartment. Then I built a removable shelf over them so I still have storage space above them. When I want to check the batteries, I remove a few items from the shelf and pull it out, I've got two screws holding it so it doesn't move around and that's it. Works great!

Battery Box

Hopefully I got the photo attached, not good at this sort of thing.

I used some scrap plywood I had laying around and it works fine. 4 batteries are tucked in there and I more room for stuff!

Getting the original battery box out was a pain.
