Stabilizing

We have a 27.5 and we’re going to have a seasonal site this coming summer. I’m wondering what the best way to put blocking under the RV to stabilize it? I was thinking about using either hardwood or pine blocks. My buddy owns a sawmill so I can get anything cut to size. Would putting the blocks under each corner be enough or should the blocking be put closer to the axles ? Also after the blocks are placed under the camper should I still use the front and rear jacks to make it more stabile ? Thanks for any help

Blocking

We are in a seasonal campground and we use cottage blocks for the footing with cinderblocks and wood blocking and shims for the last few inches. Do this at each corner and either in front or behind your wheels, depending on spacing. Using this method will give you the most stability without using your jacks. Different methods have been tried and this gave the best results.

I just went down from my house the road where they are building a bunch of new homes and asked if I could pick up some scrap 2x4's and they said sure. I used scrap 2x4's to build a block for each of the 4 stabilizer jacks. Then I bought a piece of unistrut from Home Depot and used an extra ratchet strap I had and made a set of stabilizers similar to what this man did but I used unistrut instead of 2x4 wood. Figured the unistrut would be more sturdy. I made our 38' travel trailer rock solid. However I did install my stabilizer set about midway between the front and rear stablizer jacks and that made the difference.
