Underbelly Foam Spraying
Hello,
I sprayed my underbelly with polyurethane foam on my 2012 Eagle 23.5 RSTS and I plan on doing it to my new 28.5 RSTS also, just haven't done it yet. I removed the black plastic underbelly Insulation, wraped all sewar valves, electric slide out motor, and anything that might need replaced with plastic bags. The entire underfloor and tanks were covered with foam. It cost me about $2.00 a square foot with me doing everything but the foam spraying. Now with keeping my water supply hose heat wraped and running the furnace I could camp at the North Pole with Santa......LoL
I have never had any freeze ups and it also helped with cooling in the summer I believe. I just wished my overhead was foamed also, but that would take way too much work. I even called Jayco and told them what I did.
Jayco said It basically would drive the entire cost of the RV to high to sell. Maybe someday in the future they'll go that route.
Happy Rving,
Chris

Did you put the underbelly back on?

I think I like that idea.
When I built my house a few years ago, I had all the walls spray foamed, and all the basement walls spray foamed. We could heat this place with a candle. My heating bills are incredibly low here in Michigan. Sure like the foam.
I, too, am curious as to whether you replaced the underbelly. Seems like it would provide some additional protection and dead air space.

I like the idea. I might checkout what it look like under the underbelly.

I removed the black plastic underbelly cover. I then wrapped all sewar valves, electric slide motors, and anything that might need replaced. Everything was covered, tanks, pipping and underfloor. I then reinstalled the black plastic underbelly cover. My Son-in-law sprays foam for a living so he did the work.

I wouldn't suggest foam spray from Home Depot. I would have it professionally sprayed by someone. This isn't something you can do yourself.
