Water fill station

just purchased a new pinnacle and not sure how to use the water fill station, get our unit in march so haven't done the pdi yet, how to use the country fill as we camp in provincial parks and state parks, our last unit had a large hole to put the hose in and fill now we have to screw a hose in and turn some knobs??? How do I fill the fresh water tank quickly for dry camping???:

I saw you re post this question on another thread so it's obvious that you need an answer. I wish I could help definitively but it seems from the last time this was discussed that Jayco rearranges the valves from time to time. Don't you have an owners manual and doesn't it show a diagram? Mine has 5 valves but also has a diagram and each valve is labeled. If nothing else maybe you could take a photo of your valve setup and we could help from that.

If you go on Jayco's website you can download a copy of the owners manual. It is not the best but if you call Jayco they will email you a copy of the 2012 manual which is more informative than the 2013. On my 2013 Pinnacle, the country fill is when you use the water pump to fill the fresh water tank. I don't see me using it as this would be if you do a lot of dry camping and are filling your tank from 5 gallon pails or another water source such as a creek. If there is a hose connection with pressure, you would use the City Tank Fill.

The directions are posted at the fill station and it's very easy use.You will not have any problems.

We have a similar setup but let me just say that it took me one time on the road to figure it out. Yes, the markings are on the panel but they weren't intuitive to me. For some reason I attached the hose to the wrong inlet and thank goodness I was in the bathroom when it started to overflow. I read the manual over and over too but when we got there, my excitement over shadowed my common sense. I have since color coded each inlet to prevent a similar occurrence. Good luck.

It is confusing. The normal is when you run off the tank. You fill it on country fill. City is when you are hooked up to water pressure. Use a marker to identify what makes sense to you when on the road.
Now wait till you go to winterize and suck rv antifreeze in to the system you will really scratch your head!!!!

I saw some of those water fill panels on the newer RV's... It would be a big learning thing for me as well... Even with the instructions on the panel I can see where it might get complicated.

Thank goodness for me my older trailer has a city water connection and a manual fresh water tank fill cap. If I am at a hookup site I always use a TEE at the city water pedestal and hook up a handy water hose with spigot for outside squirting. For me this is easy to put down the manual fill and fill up my fresh water tank. When at NO HOOK UP places I have to find water somewhere and bring it in 5-gallons at a time and pour down the manual fill. There is usually water available at a bath room vault close by. When we are arriving near our destination I am always on the lookup for water source and will stop and fill my fresh water tank before going into the woods if possible.
