Water pump

I have a dilemma going on here. At the end of last year we were hit in the side of our RSTS 28.5 and did some damage but not real serious. After the damage we used it for a few nights without any problems. Winterized as usual and took it to the repair shop. Took it out for the first time this weekend and could not get water to pressurize. Thought it might be the pump itself so went and purchased a new one from CW. Installed and still same issue.
Got home today and took a look and it seems as all valves in the cubby are in the correct position and the new pump makes the same noise as the old one. Disconnected what I think is the line coming from the freshwater tank and put it in a bucket of water and turned on the pump. Same results. Tried to blow back thru the same line and could not get air to go thru.
Any ideas from anyone as to what I might try now? Thought about trying to trace down the waterline from tank to cubby but not sure how it is routed. Any help there either?

Check the water strainer assembly. It's a clear hard plastic assembly with a mesh strainer. It could be cracked and sucking air. I had this once from a "new to me" camper that did not get winterized correctly. Water expanded and cracked it.

We've had our Jayco Eagle since new. Just checked the strainer and I looks good. Our pump makes noise (more than when new or wet), but no water flow. Checking local for a replacement, I can always take it back if it's something else. Anything else to check?

As a quick test on the strainer (mine looked fine too - didn't see crack at first) would be to take strainer off and while pump is running, use hand to seal up where strainer was to see if it starts pumping.

I agree you should check the screen again. I had a similar problem a long time ago, and I thought my strainer looked fine too. A little dirty, but certainly not enough to block a flow of water. I had it out anyway, so I went ahead and cleaned it and reinstalled. That fixed it and I was back in business.
