Whar Are Your Gotta Haves?
We are considering our first 5th wheel, or any camper if it comes to that and are looking around at the myriad of options. I have seen the threads on the top ten things you must carry with you, sewer hoses, flashlights etc but I want to know what trailer features are your "gotta haves"
From my naive standpoint I say....
Auto/self leveling. Drive 500 miles and then mess around getting it level v's press a button and drink a cold one.
Generator. stop on the roadside for a cup of coffee and a/c
Safe. Obvious reasons
Kind Bed and large shower. I'm 6'6" tall.
Good quality build and Customer Service.
What else do you guys and gals think?
Kind regards
Tony

Good bed, without a good nights sleep everything else is useless
I like a manual awning as big as possible
My wife likes counter space and room to make dinner
A bathroom and shower is also nice to have if needed.

Freshwater capacity is big on my list. Too many units don't give you enough.

Good AC and heat! Comfort is a must...on that note, we heat with small electric space heaters to conserve propane if on shore/utility power.

Must haves for me: 2 AC Units, Double door fridge (if you will be spending more than just weekends you'll be glad you did) Central Vac, (Installed myself) 12 gal electric / gas water heater, for the 5th wheel def. get a Mor ryde pin box, watch out for a cabinet to close overhead of the sink, washing dishes is a pain in the back and head if you have to try to duck under to wash. We have a asleep number bed and added a 4" memory foam topper and we sleep like babies.

A comfy bed, AC, fan, a nightlight for my daughter, a working toilet and STORAGE, STORAGE, STORAGE. I can't stand camping when you don't have enough room to put things aways and you are always shifting and working around things.

I'm with Doug on this one - I want a good bed, and heat or A/C to make the temp comfortable. The less computerized items in the trailer, the better. I like manual items, because they usually work, and I'm not in a big hurry. If I wanted to do everything at warp speed, I wouldn't be camping !!

Grandpa always said, "Never skimp on mattresses and shoes. If you're not in one, you're in the other and you might as well be comfy."
