What is this for?

While checking out our new 36kpts, I noticed there is a 12 volt connector on the outside panel that contains the water controls, city water connection, etc.. Does anyone know what this was intended to be used for? I'm thinking I could use it to power my Winegard G2 satellite dish, unless someone knows why I shouldn't. Thanks in advance for your help.

It reminds me of the plug for a portable solar panel.

Thanks guys. Since I don't plan on solar, I will see if I can find the mating connector, and use it for satellite power.

My connector was in the Jayco paperwork zipper bag.

Thanks Mopar earl. I just looked in mine, but it's not there. I'll call the dealer tomorrow and see about getting one.

No problem! You should be able to power your sat from it. It should be wired directly to the battery. Use a volt meter to be sure and to determine polarity.

You could use it to power a macerator system.

Thanks everyone. I did find the mating connector Mopar earl. But I decided to add another 12v outlet for the satellite. That way, this solar connector is still available should I decide to add the solar panel.
