Gonna go ahead and say it. A fireplace was the one item we just didn’t care about. Our 2018 5th wheel happens to have it and wouldn’t ya know it? We use that damn thing all the time. Sorry In advance if your wife is a forum member.

We are looking for a bigger trailer to put on a RV site property we found in NC and this one has a fireplace. Totally blew me away that they are now coming with a fireplace. Totally unnecessary but I love the idea. So we are considering buying the unit for permanent placement on the property in addition to the one we have now. I would have an experienced RV electrician or someone who can look at the trailer and see if one can be installed. I guess this is the new normal for trailers these days. We hope to close on the property in 2 weeks.

Have the fireplace installed and DW is happy. So all is good even though it was frustrating at times getting it to this point.

Glad you got it done and you beat me to it! I did check ours for what its worth and it does plug in to a single outlet beside the dual plug used for the TV. The plug is on it's own 15A breaker labeled as "D" in the fuse panel.

Nice job! We thought it was kind of a lark when we ordered our camper with it, but like cekkk said, we use it all the time! Saves a ton of propane.

Thanks for the compliment everyone. Just in case someone else is thinking about install one in the same model as mine. It's a 34" and after removing the doors-center board-and board across the bottom. Only cutting out that's required is 3/8" on the right side. I did put a 5/16" spacer on the floor under the fireplace which wasn't necessary but I wanted a snug fit. This was perfect as it could be. If I had used the 30" which comes as the option I would have had to do trim work on each side because of it being 4" narrower.

Looks great. In our previous unit, I thought it was a waste & really wanted the storage. We found a "used" (but new one) and had it put in the previous unit as there was necessary modifications. Turns out it was the best things we did. When we ordered current unit made sure there was one - puts out a good amount of heat and was extremely helpful when the propane tank (& regulator) were acting up.
