37K cab wind noise

We just picked up a beautiful 37K and are driving it home, the wind noise in the cab is terrible. We don’t think it is from windows, checked them all. Anyone else’s had this happen and get it fixed?

There are several threads on this subject if you want to do a search. The noise is coming from the mount holes in the mirrors. The noise starts around 45 - 50 mph? Some have filled with silicon and others found plugs on EBay and at Lowe’s. You can cover with tape to check the difference before you do anything permanent.

Yep, common first trip complaint. I had read about this so on our way home I covered the holes with gorilla tape at out first stop and was like night and day. I used the hole caps off ebay, you need 9/16" and 3/4" ones. Still had some noise and with a piece of paper you can check your door seals, I could easily slip paper between seal and door at the upper front corners as they were not even touching. Some have had Freightliner adjust them under warranty but I did mine in about 15 minutes and it made a huge difference.

Here is the door adjustment procedure from the service manual if you want to do it yourself.

Thank you

Thank you so much. I thought it was the doors, they look like they are not adjusted correctly, but will check the mirror mount holes too. Yes, it starts at about 45-50 mph. It drives great, was hoping to get that noise adjusted so we can fully enjoy the ride. This forum is great. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Ride safe.
