Got it. They did provide a 30/50 adapter, so I’ll add this one. Gotta love Amazon… will be here this afternoon! Thanks all!

I'm back... . Amazon delivered in just a few hours. I plugged it in and after about 10-15 seconds, it trips my GFI (in the garage). I am plugging it into a dedicated 20Amp outlet in my garage. I have nothing turned on in the RV that would cause it to trip. Any ideas?

I'm no electrician, but I'm suspicious that the inverter/charger (XANTREX FREEDOM X 2000) that I have can only do 240v. Reasonable assumption or ?

50A rv service

50A for RV service is basically 2 separate 120AC circuits. When you plug in a 30A or 20A adapter you only use one of those "Legs", and that leg usually has 1 A/C and most appliances connected to it. The other leg has the second A/C and possibly less used outlets or accessories. I don't believe any appliances use 240V in RV's, but I may be wrong!

What were you running when it tripped. Interested in this as well. I figured that it would not trip unless you ran the microwave or a/c, but would be fine with just the basics running like the refrigerator.

I had everything turned off in the coach. Including the breaker for fridge, TVs etc.

I’ll look for another non GFI outlet and try.

That was it! Thank you! I drew an extension cord into the house on a 15A non-GFI circuit and it worked! Of course, I could only run one AC unit for a few minutes before it tripped, but at least the inverter saw and switched to shore power, so I can at least keep my batteries fresh and run the small stuff while parked here.

Thanks again everyone! Love this forum and really loving this coach!
