Wow, so this is low even for Jayco.
So, I had some free time today and decided to work on my AC's. It seems that using impact drivers is the thing nowadays, this bolt has been sheared off. Did they try to fix it? Nope, whoever did this did it to the back one too. I have three bolts holding the ac units on.

I dread having to wait years for them to go through the process of fixing them.

If I recall... when I worked on mine, the other end of the mounting bolt is accessible when you remove the roof shroud on the AC unit.

I think so too. The main cover, the sheet metal cover, remove fan and foam, unscrew the busted bolt from the top, reassemble, add new bolt. Urg.

Well, I tackled the sheared off bolt today and what a chore it was. So much to take apart and reassemble but the first one is done. The bolt was shorter than the others and it was also cross threaded. One thing you have to watch for is the fins on the heat strip and condenser. The are really sharp. I'll do the front one on Thursday. Then I can install the Micro-air devices and finish up the insides. Yeah!

Turns out I have the Outdoor Temp Board so installing the Micro Air is a little different from the standard. (Page 19 on the instructions).
