Seneca Dash Door Lock/Unlock Switch Inop

Switch was intermittent for 6 months and now has quit working completely. Does it have a relay and if so where is it located? Not sure where to start looking and don't want to take the dash apart if I don't have to.

Thanks

I’m unsure about the specifics of the door switch…however I had a window switch that did the same. Pulled it apart and found the internal contacts were shot…new switch and the window works. I would think you could test it by jumpering the lines.

Thanks...good idea. If I do anything with the switch, I have to take the dash apart which I want to avoid if possible. I'm hoping there is a relay (not located behind the dash) that I can test first.

Old Smokey is correct, the switch carries the entire current of the locks. I've had to replace mine when it became intermittent.

Hahaha....upgraded the speakers back in 2018. That's why I don't want to "go back in".

Time to get motivated!

Rob, if you have a source/part # for the switch would you please post it.

Thanks to all!
