2018 28BHBE Issues

So after a few weeks of owning our new trailer I've found a bunch of issues. Some of them are small granted. There was a mix up and we were supposed to get a skylight and bbq. Trailer came with neither. Dealer said they would install a skylight. Then yesterday when going to put the cover on I found a hole in the roof and a patch with sealant. Spoke to dealer and dealer said he is calling jayco.

Issues so far and I've attached some pics:

1. No Skylight

2. No BBQ

3. Sealant around Radio Antenna

4. AM/FM Radio not working

5. Door Frame to toilet door is too large; lock plate is bent to accommodate this. The door can be opened without turning the handle.

6. Heater vent at bunkbed was not installed properly flush with the floor.

7. Sealant around roof edge and trim.

8. Rubber pipe around read cubby storage door is twisted and ready to crack.

9. Gutter is misaligned and water comes out down side of trailer

10. TV Remote does not work (Told one on order)

11. Hole in roof, patched with sealant at rear of trailer at ladder

12. Tire cover is torn.

13. Plywood under the U dinette is cracked on the seat against the trailer wall.

What's everyone's thought and or experiences when buying a new tt? I'm more than dissappointed with some of the quality.

We have the 2017 version and had a really long list of problems after delivery as well. We used it a couple times and found even more. Ended up back at the dealer with a page of at least 25 things to fix. After 2 trips to the dealer I think they have finally fixed them all. No charge to us but it is definitely irritating! Just make sure you document everything.

Just curious why you accepted a trailer that had all these issues...? I didn't have any problems with mine, but if I did, I wouldn't have accepted it.

Only the skylight, bbq, tv remote and door were issues on pickup. Found the rest since we brought it home. If I had seen the patch I wouldn't have taken it

I have a 17 284bhsw and had a long list of items I found wrong so I completely understand your frustration. After 4 trips all issues have been corrected at no cost. Luckily I have a good dealer who has picked and delivered the trailer to and from our house (dealer is 80 miles away) and they never kept the tt more then a week. After allot of frustration we’re happy with the tt but we did have buyers remorse a few times

If a branch hit the roof and put a hole in when I'm camping then fine. But not before I've even used it. That's what I'm more ticked about. That they hid it or fixed it and someone knew it

I ordered my 2017 28BHBE and picked it up early last year. So we're wrapping up our second season with it and have had no issues. Hope you get yours taken care of...
