Our 2017 27DRLS was built last Thursday. May see it in 2 weeks.

That's great news! Our 28 DSBH is awaiting a hauler and is expected to be at the dealer by 5/13!

Congrats to both of you! We really have enjoyed ours... which right now needs a thorough cleaning... ... But we use it quite a bit. 31 nights (I think) since August when we got it. Hoping for even more, since I'm now retired,

Our 2017 Whitehawk just arrived. Went up to see it this afternoon. Looks great, still needs to be cleaned up. Should have it in two weeks.

We're looking at buying a new 28DSBH and I have a question about the White Hawk. Does the wider axle stance on the White Hawk line really make a noticeable difference in towability and backing? Thanks!

I think the wider distance between axles makes it more stable at hiway speeds, but makes backing a bit more of a chore. I like it...

Thanks for the replies. Salesman was telling me that the wider stance helps in all aspects, including backing it up. Glad I asked.

Bigdomino, I'm new to forum stuff, how would I find your past post...thanks.

Price I'm being quoted for the new 2017 28DSBH on the lot is $25,700 from MSRP of $35,762. basically $10,000 or 1/3 off of MSRP. Sounds good to me, but I have no prior trailer purchasing experience. Actually MSRP is $34,617 before destination and prep charges added.

Thanks to all for contributions!

gmcpapa, I was wrong about my statement about the posts.

The posts are on Facebook. There is a Jayco group and a Whitehawk group. The posts are on the Whitehawk group. Check them both out.

That's not a bad deal... We're really enjoying ours. It's another excuse to spend time with our grand kids...

Itoddday, the pics don't match your floor plan.

Hey Schreaderman, we are looking to do the same thing. Salesmen and others think we're crazy getting a bunkhouse, they say to buy something for the two of us and guests and grandkids can sleep on couch and dinette sleepers. they say if the grandkids don't like camping, we're dragging a lot of wasted space round. But the grandkidss are so excited every time they come over asking where the new trailer is at. I figure, if they don't like camping we can always trade in for different floorplan.

Even if my grand kids aren't along, my 2 sons and I love to fly fish. So the 2 bunks are big enough for them and we aren't wasting valuable Clint Eastwood movie time converting everything... Sometimes my wife calls us... the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. She should know...

So has anyone heard when the 2018's will begin production? Looking forward to seeing the new models hit the lots so we can check them out. It will be interesting to see the new front cap automotive window and the new color schemes.

My local Jayco dealer has a 2018 White Hawk 27DSRL on his lot already. I wanted the White Hawk when I purchased my 2017 Jay Flight 28BHBE but I didn't want to wait on it to get here. Man...I really like that color scheme on the White Hawk's!

Not a bad deal, but your not quite to 30% off MSRP yet. We purchased our 2017 28 DSBH for just over $25,000. The MSRP was just north of $38,000.

White Hawk seems higher end for 2018

Surfing the net, I'm seeing lots of nice new touches on the White Hawk, almost like they're trickling down from the Eagle line. Here's a typical sample:

2018 Jayco White Hawk

IMO the cool blue outside graphics leave the brown Nike-like decals we have in the dust. And the new optional front cap with "automotive windshield" seems to be all the rage with manufacturers - not sure I'd want one but it looks sharp to me. There's also stainless steel kitchen appliance packages with the heavier Atwood range top burner grates, and little upscale touches like under-sofa led lighting, brushed nickel LED reading lamps (with front cap window units), padded master bed headboards, wood window casings, lighter interior wall colors with accent slide out walls, better kitchen and bath faucets, magnetic baggage door catches and detachable shore power cords. And there are more substantive quality upgrades, like using 225/75R15 LRE Goodyear tires on trailers that at the same length/dry weight in 2017 came with relatively tiny 205/75R14 LRC Rainiers. Furniture looks a step up in quality as well.

We love our 2017 28DSBH (especially after upgrading it with a few mods), but I definitely want to poke around in a 2018 or two when they finally hit the local dealers lot. They're never going to be Airstreams but from the little I've seen online so far Jayco seems to be trying to step up their game a bit.
