2019 Eagle 330RSTS

Hello everyone, first off love this forum, there is a ton of helpful info here, now I need some help. My new Eagle landed last week only to find out that Jayco no longer offers the 7 point level system. I paid for this system and expect it, but they say they can change when ever they want, not sure if that is so. I loaded this unit with everything they offered including slide toppers and now they tell me I have to take what they sent, any input? This unit is not cheap and after meeting with Jayco rep at the Hershey show he really sold me a lot of BS, has anyone else had this problem? Thanx in advance

very true

They use to advertise 7 point level on there web page and if you go there now it says just AUTO LEVEL, not sure how with just the 2 pods behind the wheels and the STABILIZERS under bedroom, add tongue jack and now you have 5 but not true levelers

When did you place your order? I saw on the updates/enhancements for 2019 dated August 3rd that they specify BAL 7.3 auto level. I will contact dealer and report back what I find, will ask them to contact factory rep to confirm if 7.3 is still available.

The 2018 used the BAL 5.3. Under warranty mine was replaced in October but still with the 5.3.

This was a post on this site when I ordered my 2018.

I placed my order at Hershey show in mid September after speaking to Jayco rep about the updated 7.3, again a lot of BS

I signed a deal specifying what I wanted on my unit, including a 40 inch tv on the fireplace wall. When the dealer called us to come for our inspection, there was a 32 in pop up tv behind the fireplace and no fireplace wall going to the ceiling. I simply told them sorry, not what I ordered. They ordered a second unit and the dealer made sure everything was right before it was shipped.

I had to refuse delivery of my first trailer too, because they were sloppy and ordered the wrong options. Further, when it arrived at the dealership, no one bothered to verify that what showed up matched what I had ordered. The look on their faces when I told them that wasn't my trailer was priceless. Also all of the on-the-spot ideas of how to "fix" it were comical. I can chuckle now about it, but at the time I was pissed.

Bottom line, have records of what you ordered and agreed upon. If it isn't a match, don't accept it. I am so sick and tired of these sloppy ass dealerships/salesmen/techs being so eager to take your money that they forget/neglect to do a proper job.

I'm curious, what auto-level system did you get? When we ordered in March of this year, we were expecting a 2018 330RSTS with the 5.3 system, but we ended up getting a 2019 with the 7.3. It's really only a 3 pt leveling system with stabilizers either way you go.

That being said, everything that changed from my signed order form to what they were delivering was communicated to me by the dealer before the unit showed up (such as the 2018 interior we ordered was discontinued on the 2019s). The dealer you bought from definitely should have kept you in the loop.

I got the 5.3 but ordered with 7.3, absolutely no communication about changes. I realize it really is only 3 point but to leave the living room hanging out there without stabilizers is crazy

Interesting. I never saw the 5.3 system. I assumed it left off the front stabilizers.

If it eases your mind at all, the trailer shakes pretty good from any movement, even with the 7.3.

And yes i agree with you guys I want the 7.3 over the 5.3 as I want rear stabilization. I have no issue with it being 3 points of leveling, in fact it makes far more sense then a 6 point 5th wheel type as this system induces little to no strain on the frame and slide out and door openings as it pivots at the axles to get your side to side, than stabilizes front and rear with the stabilizer jacks....genius. I'll def have dealer confirm with factory when i place my order.

jayco follow up

Spoke with Jayco today and yes they do not offer the 7.3 anymore with out a reason. They offered to have rear stabilizers installed at the dealer ship to make it a 7 point not a five, HATS OFF TO THEM, they stepped up and took care of the problem. So if you purchased the 7.3 it is no longer offered, SORRY

Interesting. I wonder if the rear stabilizers can be added, then wired into the module up front for a7.3 system or If the modules are different,. I might add the two stabilizers and a 7.3 module in place of a. 5.3 ,but not that I should have to....

The 7.3 is Bal and the 5.3 is LCI so I don't believe you can wire it in, this being said it might be a better stabilizer that you control yourself as apposed to a control panel controlling the down force

Gotcha, I thought they were using the same bal brand for both systems, thanks for the info. I too contacted a dealer and asked them to inquire into what the factory is doing. Will report back what I find.
