But thanks for the post.
Yep. Sorry to dissolution you but running about 5 to 6 hours to charge batteries and cool the trailer off in late afternoon is all it takes each day. The Honda runs in Eco mode as well. Not much draw with my Advent AC running at I expected.

Got back from boondocking at the lake 3 weeks ago. Spent 5 days there with temps in 80s.
Took less than 4 gallons propane. You do the math...

We have a Etrailer 2000 watt surge 1600 watt running inverter unit and it starts and runs our 13.5 AC even when the temp was 101. We do have the high altitude carb jets for 3-6 K and 6-9 K altitudes.

I've used soft start capacitors with good results. You are essentially adding "juice" storage via the larger capacitor. This way, when your compressor/condenser kicks in, it draws some of the needed juice from the capacitor. This makes it easier on your generator to provide the momentary bump in required amperage.

It works very well during the summer months when I'm up in altitude and my generator is down on power (altitude sickness ;-)

You should maybe look into some carb jets for the higher altitudes.
