Better Battery Box

I wanted to mount a harbor freight tongue box for my dual batteries, to have a little more weather resistance and security, and a place to mount a cutoff switch. But the current hangers are mounted under the frame and sit kind of underneath the curve of the trailer front. I don't think it will fit. Is there a good plug and play box that I can use? I am sick of googling! Thanks.

This box looks like it mounts on the channels between the A frame but really depends on your Trailer and batteries.

I really like the HF box and think I will just bolt or weld two L channels across the top of the A frame and mount the box to those. Not sure until I get my TT out of storage.

Probably 7+ years ago there were lots of posts on the subject. Many people used/modified various metal truck boxes to fit their needs.

I would take a measurement across your A-Frame, to determine how much length you need, to span a box across the frame members. Then find a box that will fit your needs.

One thing to note, if you have open cell batteries that need to be maintained, your battery box will need ventilation. No matter what, I would also drill a few weep holes in the bottom so any condensation build up has a way to escape.

Amazon is a great place to look at options.

I know their a little on the expensive side but look into power armor boxes by torklift. I have the single battery box and it is really nice. Again kinda spendy but I also have lithium on board
