the strips are right in the middle. one coming up from the top of the drawer and one coming down from the bottom of the couch. sometimes if not pulled they get closed in the drawer.

Mine has a strap with clips also. One hangs from the top and one is underneath the slide out bed. Hooks in the center and the bed can't go anywhere.

Thanks for posting the pictures, I checked and mine does not have a strap. It going back to the dealer tomorrow for a few other things and this will be on my list also. I will print a picture so they can't say they don't come wit straps.

I've been reading about everyone with the couch similar to our and I have a question about the couch. Has anyone experienced the front of the couch bulging out right above the drawer. We have pulled out the mattress and that is not the problem. Any ideas

We have used our hide-a-bed about 2 dozen times since early 2010 and so far no bulging.

The dealer put a catch clip on each side of the inside of the couch drawer, that will hold it I guess. My couch doesn't have a mattress, it unfolds and there is an air mattress that goes on it.
