Eagle Distinctions

What build qualities separate the Eagle from the other Jayco TTs. Obviously the Feather and White Hawk are ultra-lights. Is the Eagle platform (chassis, walls, roof) beefier than the Jay Flight? If so, in what way(s)?

What I have noticed, when we were looking to buy ours, is that the Eagle and Eagle HT have most things as standard that would be considered optional on the other models. For example, Eagle has fiberglass sides standard but its an option on Jay Flight. However, I think the wall thickness is roughly the same.

On the interior, the Eagle seems to use a slightly higher-end materials. Color schemes are also different.

On a deeper level, our Eagle HT has a decent power converter (smart converter) and water pump, which I was surprised by. I can't speak to other Jayco models and what they are spec'd with - but I was expecting to replace some of these items in our Eagle HT and found I didn't need to.

I can't say I compared frame size or axles, specifically.

When I spec'd out the comparable Jay Flight model to our Eagle HT, I found myself adding options to the Jay Flight that I wanted to have but would be already there on the Eagle. The decision became easier once I realized that and we got the Eagle HT.

Hope this helps.

Yes, I have noticed the decor, furnishings, and appointments. How about the chassis? When I look at the Eagles, they appear to have a more robust chassis. They do weigh more; it would make sense that they would have beefier chassis and suspension, but I am only speculating.

The frame, axles, etc are definitely heavier duty than they were on my White Hawk, but the Eagles (excluding the HT variety which I'm not so sure about) are all big trailers. Mine, when ready to camp weighs in around 12,000 lbs, so I'm guessing that the beefier chassis is as much a need as an "upgrade". I believe all the Eagle trailers are a full 8' wide and have tall ceilings, which gives them a really nice, spacious feel as well.

I agree with NorCal Eagle though, the finishes and some of the components seem nicer on the Eagles than on other models that we looked at. Although the White Hawk we owned before was nice, there was nothing we needed/wanted on day one when we took our Eagle out.
