First time owner heater/battery question

New owner 2016 Jayfight 28BHBE. What to make sure I understand the heating system, it only runs on propane and should have an auto pilot all controlled at the thermostat correct ? Plugging in my RV will it charge my battery since its been parked for the winter thanks y'all.

Yes to both, but furnace needs 12 volt too.

The furnace uses 12v, for all the controls and fan.

As above, the furnace runs using propane to heat and 12 volts to run fan and thermostat. If you are not plugged in than it will consume a small battery output in one night of use. Lots of posts on this so I suggest you look at a few with the search feature in the gold bar above. Post the type battery (group 24, 27, 2 6 volts, etc.) and people can give you real world estimate of how it will operate when boon docking.
