Football shaped tail lights

Is it possible to get to the wires that connect the rear drivers side tail light, without destroying the tail light. 2018 264BH.
Break and turn light doesn’t work on the drivers side. The driving light part of the light works.

I wonder if the led is cooked or if I have a loose connection.
Thank
Gary

I sent Command Electronics an email a little while ago, asking how the lights attach, but haven't received a response yet. Someone else asked that same question also. The brake and signal circuit are one and the same wire, so it may be a bad connection, that could be anywhere from the 7 pin plug back.

Looks like just friction holds the lense on and probably some caulking.

Thank you.

Finally got all the sealant pealed off and light removed.

Only stop and turn part of the light quit working . Is there anyway to repair the light?

I tried to repair the light I had fail...no luck. The "football" light which the license plate attached to. The whole light worked except the white light that shined down on the license plate.

I found about it during the annual state inspection on the trailer.

I'd check the wires on the brake/turning side with a test light to eliminate them, otherwise it's probably a circuit board issue, and I don't know if that can be repaired. Someone that has a good knowledge of circuit boards might be able to sort it out, but that's definitely not my area of expertise.

Led's are suppose to last so much longer and be better, but i think if i had the old school tail lights that took a bulb this repair would have been $5 instead of $45

new light came with a thin foam gasket. original installed light didn't have the gasket. original had that putty / butyl tape behind it.

should we use the foam gasket or is that for a fiberglass smooth trailer?

I would use butyl tape. I would not be comfortable with a thin foam gasket on a vertical surface regardless of fiberglass or aluminum.
