Furnace / thermostat

Hi there. It is a cool damp day here and I have turned the furnace on to blow out the dampness. I have the thermostat set to 68 (or so) and the temp dips below 64 and yet the furnace does not come back on - It has worked before. If I move the temp up again it kicks in fine but not sure as to why it isn’t kicking in automatically
Thanks for any troubleshooting ideas you may have

Sounds like you may need a thermostat.

The mechanical cheapo installed by Jayco is easily replaced by a simple digital. Keeps temps in range much better. Couple of AA batteries keep your preferred settings. $20, 2 screws and 2 wire connections on most heat only units.

Thank you. I have been looking at a new digital I do need heat and cool. Apparently there is a similar model to what I have that is digital and easy to replace. Wire for wire
