Turbofan, can you help with:

I've tried everything possible to have the audio from the Furrion TV go through the DV1220 and play through the Zone 1 speakers. I suspect Jayco did not wire the TV properly to accomplish that............any thoughts?

Now your going back a few years and my memory stinks but I recall running an HDMI cable from the Furion to the TV and did a minor rewiring job as I had same problem.
I do remember that it was easy to remove the stereo, take off faceplate to expose screws and once off it was easy to run the DVI cable. Might have had to run HDMI cable to free up speaker inputs.
Also keep in mind my unit is a dv -1200 which looks different than a 1220 but I’m not sure if the back is the same.
Can you get the speakers to work at all?

Yes, but only when playing a CD or through Bluetooth. My TV rises up out of the cabinet and is impossible to get to the rear of it without taking it off it's mount which there are no directions for.

That’s is a wierd issue on working with BT and CD only. To remove mine there was a black outer ring that snapped into place. I pryed it off by using small screwdriver and being careful not to damage the wood.
Looking at a install diagram of the 2200 it appears that the bottom portion of the stereo faceplate would pop off.Noticed a small notch on the the LH/RH side of unit. Judging by the pics. May not have to remove the tuning knob.
User manual page 14. Page 11 shows stereo connections!

Sorry, I should have added that it also works for the AM/FM radio.

Add a soundbar with a wireless subwoofer with bluetooth. I did it and don't even turn on the stereo anymore unless we are watching a dvd!! The soundbar sounds amazing and the subwoofer really makes you feel the music or movie. Also most of them now can link another smaller soundbar for outside speakers. Very simple install and they are pretty cheap from wall mart, best buy, etc.

Are the Furrion TV's bluetooth capable? It doesn't indicate it in the manual.

Is the soundbar connected directly to the TV, if so, what type of connection. Do you have a Furrion TV? My TV rises up out of the cabinet. Does anyone know how to remove it from the mount to attach a cable to it? Without removing it from the mount it's impossible to get behind it.

USB not working on 2016 furion radio

I have searched this forum and have not found an answer to this question, so I'm hoping someone can help me. We have a 2016 Jayco hybrid that we bought used and it has a furion radio and television. We have downloaded some music onto a USB stick and have tried to connect it to the radio to play, however it doesn't do anything but turn the TV on and shows the files. AM / FM works fine and it does play CDs. It will not play the USB no matter what we have tried to do. Any suggestions? I can't get any information out of the manual either.

I've had similar issues with car stereos in the past, and almost always it has come down to the unit having a limited set of file formats that it will play. Usually a little digging in the manual and experimenting fixed things and after I knew what file types and settings to employ it was a breeze.

First thing is check the filenames of your music: does the extension end with MP3 or WMA? You'll need to make sure that's what your tunes are.

Furrion's site says their latest models are MP3/MP4/WMA compatible.

MP4 is a file container spec to store video and audio, subtitles - in other words movies. It's rare to see music MP4's and I'd be willing to bet you don't have those.

MP3's we all know pretty much, but not all MP3's are the same. One thing to keep in mind is that MP3 files (which most people have on flash drives) come in a lot of different bit-rates: 96 to 320 kilobytes per second (Kbps). Some stereos don't like high speed MP3's and will reject them. And to make things even more complex, there are MP3s with variable bitrates, which some players hate even more. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Furrion has some speeds they don't support.

WMA stands for Windows Media Audio, and that format is pretty universal and as far as I know it doesn't have the Kbps problems that MP3's can come with.

Unfortunately, Furrion's specs don't list MP3 Kbps speeds that they decode, so it may be worth writing to their support@furrion.com email address and asking them.

The Furrion DVD seems to have good sound quality is good. My gripe with these units and other brands made for rv's is the controls (buttons & etc) are small and the markings almost impossible to read. The remotes are the same way and some of the functions are convoluted and hard to figure out. Nobody thinks simple to use anymore.

Not sure if this helps but on my unit the AV cables from the TV were not plugged in behind the unit, just laying in the jumble of cables back there.

Through the entertainment center. It's set to AV IN, also turn tv volume down and use volume on entertainment center for ceiling speakers. Let me know how it works for you.

On the remote for the entertainment system is a button AV IN (audio visual in) This will put the sound from your tv through the ceiling speakers. Turn the tv volume down and use the entertainment system volume. Works and sounds great.
