Heater

I have new Jayco trailer. We used it once and everything worked fine. I parked it and had to go away on business for few days and left the heat set on 50 degrees to keep everything warm. The outside temp never got below 40 so nothing could have frozen. When i got back the propane tank had run out. I refilled it and now the heater will not reignite. The blower starts runs for 30 seconds and then everything shuts off. How do I get it ti reignite. Thanks Also the propane is coming into the unit because the stove and oven work fine. No lack of propane to rest of unit.

Prob have air in the lines. Light the stove, and it should fire back up.

Welcome to the forum.

Are you plugged into shore power? What is your battery voltage? Can you hear the igniter trying to light the propane?

There should be a 'reset switch' on the top of the furnace. Some have pressed that to get the furnace working again.
Also, defective 'sail switches' have been mentioned a few times.

What year & model trailer do you have. That info could help others to help you.

Once you run out of propane, you have to "reset" the furnace by turning the thermostat "OFF" for a few seconds, then turn it back "ON". That should get the propane flowing back into the furnace igniter.

I tried that. No luck. Is it easier to access the reset from outside the camper. And do you know where the sail switch is? Thanks

As far as I know, that little reset switch is on the furnace itself. You would only be able to access it from the inside of the camper. On some models it takes some digging! There have been posts made on this site over the last couple years with pictures showing the switch and how to do it. You can likely find it with a quick search.
