Hot water Heater

I have an Atwood/DOMETIC hot water heater model GC6AA-10 in Montana the temp was -60’ F and the welds broke on the tank. I have a 248RBS. There are no replacements. Suburban SAW6DEL fits. The trailer uses a FIB M23 as the monitor and switch. The Atwood has a green blue red/orange and white 4 wires and the Suburban has green blue reddish and NO WHITE. 3 wires. Any idea?

I would think to look at the wiring diagram for each unit to compare wires to see if they'll match up. I found the manuals below...

The Dometic user manual here, Linky

The Suburban user manual here, Linky

Otherwise an electrician might be in order unless one of the fellas here can assist you. Good luck!

Thank you so much. I have the manuals. The suburban has a reset button and the Atwood does not. I bought the switch and I am mounting next to my breaker box. I think I can wire it. I have plastic Couplings to hook the water to the tank. Maybe I should go buy brass?
Thanks again.

Yeah, sorry I'm not more help. I'd probably opt for the better couplings, too. Good luck with everything. Let me know how it turns out.
