How Do I Remove Microwave

MY High Pointe quit yesterday and I read it may have an internal fuse. How do I get to it? Looks like they built the slide out around it! Yes, I verified it is not the outlet or breaker.

If it is anything like hose units, there are two bolts holding the front to an above cabinet. These are from the inside cabinet and down into the MW. Once the bolts are removed, you tip the MW a little forward and push the back of it upward off of the mounting bracket. Dont forget to fish the electric cord through the hole and get another set of hands for that because you will be holding up the MW.

I can see the bolts/screws but their is no cabinet above, only the slide roof. I'm not about to tear into that. There is a small 2" trim that I could try to remove but again not real sure I want to do that on a new camper either. They sure didn't think this installation out for maintenance.

These microwaves have two screws at the front and when removed you can pull out the microwave.

You should be able to fin the installation manual on google. I suspect you have atleast two screws inside the microwave holding it to the ceiling.

Are they in the micro or in a board right at the front edge of the micro?

In our SENECA the the micro was attached to a wood panel and then the panel was attached with screws to the slide ceiling. If you remove the screws the micro will probably tilt down and then you can lift the back off the mounting bracket. Same probably applies even if the screws are just in the micro.

Definitely have help when doing it it is a 2 person job.

some have 2 long bolts that run on a 45-degree angle from the bottom front of the micro to the top back for mounting. Not mounted straight up as a household unit is.

I had to remove the top trim which was very easy once I started. Then I could see the 6 screws holding the attached bracket to the top slide bracket. Now just waiting for my replacement order. Thanks everyone

I have the identical microwave and installation. My microwave is arcing around the door and I have to replace it. Removing the thin trim piece above and then 6 screws in a bracket gives me hope that I can do this without tearing into the roof or side cabinets. Any other hints as to how you removed the trim piece or any photos?

Thanks!!

Thanks!!

The trim was easy to pry off, it only has tiny staples holding it on so it didn't take much pressure to get it to come off. I used the same staples and just tapped it back in place when I was done.
The screws can be hard to get to so you will need some extensions to reach them. Once you have them out, make sure you have support underneath and you have to raise the back up because it sits on a slider ledge. During install you will need 2 people. One to lift it up and on that back ledge then hold the front up so the other can start screwing it back in.

Good luck!
