Slide adjustment?

I just noticed this gap in my slide inside (picture below). Its not a schwintek. I just moved my trailer the other day. Slide worked fine. Not sure if this was here before (I dont remember seeing any gap before) or if this just happened?
Any ideas?

Can it just be adjusted? How do I do this?

I measured the slide outside, it appears to be 1/4" off from one side to the other. What do I do? Can I still move the slide?

I found a good video that showed me how to adjust my Lippert slide on YouTube. It wasn’t hard. I noticed that some other brands had similar videos, too. I would find the video for your brand and then decide if you want to do it yourself or have a dealer do it.

I think you're good. The seal could be causing that. How are the seals outside? Does the other side look like that? If it doesn't leak, don't worry about it. It looks like a pretty uniformed gap.

Seals are good on one side, sort of ok on the other except at the top, slight gap. Just had a pretty good rain pass through here and no leaks.
It being crooked like it is will bother me since it wasn't like that before.
Hoping to get some instruction on how to rectify it.

Most likely, the slide will have to be synced. Somewhere down the road it skipped a couple teeth on one side either coming in or going out.

That's what I was wondering. If I close it, how hard do you think it would be to push it back (assuming it did skip a few teeth)?

Ok so I think it may be a Lippert slide.

Does anybody know how to tell if it skipped some teeth or is just out of adjustment??

My guess is that it needs an adjustment you can make yourself. Try contacting the manufacturer for technical assistance. Have your model number ready.

Much of that type information is available on pdf files the builder will send you. (It might already be available on their site.) There's other info out there, but the builder's has always worked best for me.

Did you try running it back in to make sure that nothing got behind it that shouldn't (pen cap, pebble, any little thing)? Doesn't take to much to stop it's travel.

Search "Electric through frame slide-out operation and adjustment" on YT. Lippert has a 9 minute video on how to do it.

Ok, another thought since so far Jayco has no answers and haven't heard from Lippert yet, and none of the videos I have found talk about skipped teeth!
I can't even find a diagram that shows how the passive side works! All videos show how to adjust motor side not passive side.

I'm still thinking it jumped a couple of teeth since nothing looks like it loosened and moved, what else could it be.
It's just the passive side that needs a small adjustment. Do you guys think just adjusting that side would be ok? The teeth wouldn't match on the 2 rails but the slide would be straight.

Adjusting the passive side is easy. There’s a 1/2 inch bolt in a slot at the end of the mechanism. You just loosen that bolt, adjust, and tighten. I had to use the slide motor to move the bar where I wanted it. I couldn’t move the slide by hand. The Lippert video that I watched said that 1/4 inch from side to side is within tolerance but give it a try if you want.

Which end are you talking about? The outside end of slide, or the end inside the frame? Thanks!

It’s at the outside end of the slide. I extended the slide about halfway out to make my adjustments and then moved it all the way out and in to make sure I had it where I wanted it. I circled the bolt in the attached picture.

So do think its ok to just adjust it like that if it might of skipped a tooth or 2?
This what mine looks like.....

It looks like you have two bolts to hold the slide in place instead of one like mine. If there are no damaged teeth on the slide or the gear, I would just adjust it.

My opinion-FWIW-,
If it goes in and out with no problems, you can't see light through it and it doesn't leak water, it's fine.

I agree and will try this first. I haven't tried retracting and extending all the way.....maybe it will end up being a non issue, fingers crossed!!

1/4 inch, I would not be concerned. I would not do any changing w/o running in and out several times or even on several trips.
