Linoleum Cracks

Hi All, We have a 2011 Jayco Eagle 304BHS and have notices some one inch splits or cracks in the linoleum in various places. At the split area it seems to be popping up and separating. The first one was in the kitchen area and I thought someone might have dropped a knife since then we have discovered three or four more at various places. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm wondering if these are the result of nail pops? I am making an assumption that the sub-floor was nailed and now they are popping up? The first one I put some clear nail polish on to try and protect it but now that we have discovered a few more we are concerned. Is this a common problem in campers or Jayco in particular? We were thinking of upgrading campers to a more "adult" friendly style as the kids are grown but are concerned about the quality of the Jayco build. Any thoughts or experience on what to do would be appreciated. Thanks.

The exposure to cold temps has been known to cause problems with linoleum, not just with JAYCO units. I have seen posts where flooring has shattered like glass after a cold winter.

Can comment on cracks. I had quite a few dents in mine upon delivery. They had no clue what is was from as they checked slide, fold out bed and etc. Also did find a few (what appears to be nails coming up from floor we assume since they were 6" apart. Someone I know had his linoleum replaced professionally and his first summer storage bubbled it up all over and lifted. I don't think it the best material in something that sees heat and cold a lot during storage times. The only luck I've had is with vinyl are the 3' strips you actually glue down. Put that in my class A and stored for 4 years in Florida. That was the only vinyl that I ever had that actually held up to the extremes of temperature. I'm having mine replaced but kind of worried since it will be cut to the walls and glued down. Plus I store in Florida to make things worst.

To save weight (and money) most RV manufactures only perimeter glue the lino down.. this means you have a high chance of it failing and cracking at some point down the road.. when you decide to replace it make sure you glue down the whole thing so this wont happen again..

Are you speculating Jayco doesn't apply the correct amount of glue or are you referring to specific, reliable, documented information? One of the Jayco assembly vid's I saw showed adhesive being applied to the entire floor.
