Long wait over!

Finally picked up my 2016 Jay Flight 23MBH yesterday. After a couple of failed attempts over the last week to get it, the dealer finally fixed the issues and I took delivery. Major issue was they mangled the ground wire when installing WDH clamps, 7pin adapter useless when plugged in, basically no trailer brakes.

So far so good, 60 mile trip with a load of water home, using Equalizer WDH All in one 12K & 45 mph winds. What a difference compared to my last trailer.

Issues on PDI
no trailer brakes, damaged ground brake wire
cold water line on bathroom sink needed fixed
4 gaps on underbelly that required foam to seal
they didn't wash the underside of the trailer after transport
sloppy DAP/Caulking drips on interior floor and around seams on exterior
wall seam tape in dinette damaged
they didn't clean up wire and wood shavings from production

Overall just glad to get it home. Unfortunately don't think I'll have time to make my Thanksgiving reservations. Will use the time instead to tinker and check things over, clean & get organized.

Trying to figure out how to deal with the antenna on the roof for cover installation.

Have a great week and Happy early Thanksgiving to everyone.

At the base of the antenna you'll see a set screw, just back off on it a few turns and you can lower the mast for winter covering.

Assuming you're talking about the radio antenna. I don't think that applies to most TV antennas.

You have the same set up as we do (except my Ram is a 2014). The truck actually drives nicer with this trailer, and it is solid towing. Nothing moves when I pass a tractor-trailer or vice versa. I couldn't be happier. We have done several trips now and love the trailer. It has taken a little while to figure where to store everything but there is tons of storage. I'm taking ours back to the dealer for a few more punch list/warranty items. We were missing a piece of ceiling trim that was on backorder, couple of fit and finish things, and the big one is the hitch. It is a real beast to unhitch. I've tried everything to make it better (and it is not as bad as it first was) but it has to lift the truck up in order to uncouple. It's a know problem with these couplers, so hopefully it will get resolved easily.

@ beechjetpilot1

So far I'm liking it as well. Spent a lot of time finding and utilizing all the storage with bins last week and transferred all the needed stuff from my old trailer into this one and fixing minor stuff I wouldn't take back to dealer for. Looking forward to my first official camping trip.

I agree when driving it home it was windy and I had approx 1/2 of available water in my tanks, the WDH did a great job as traffic was thick. So far lucky on unhitching since I was on level asphalt, I'm hoping that doesn't become an issue when out camping.
