Micro Air Easy Start on Jayco Hummingbird 17FD

Going to install a Micro Air easy start on my Mach 8 AC unit. My question is can you go on the roof of a Hummingbird to work on the ac unit? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Use 2 inch thick foam boards cut in 2 x 4 foot rectangles to spread your weight. The foam boards will not slide.

I used use an old blanket with a 4 x 4 piece of 1/2 inch plywood on my fil's rig. It was walkable but I did not want to take a chance and do any damage. Also protect the edges if a ladder is resting against the edges.
