Moderately Loud Water Pump

When winterizing our 24RBS for the first time I see that the water pump is firmly attached to the floor. I had expected to see it mounted on rubber isolation mounts of some type. Has anyone successfully 'soft mounted' the pump to reduce pump noise? Thanks!

Accumulator

I have the same issue and have been doing some research. I haven’t done it yet, but yes I’m going to put some kind of damper on the pump mounting. But the big improvement comes from putting in an accumulator. It’s about a $50 add on from Surflow. You tube it. Seems simple enough. Parts are on Amazon and Walmart.

Some of your noise is from the plumbing hooked to the pump. There are 'pump isolator' kits that have short flexible hoses that hook between the pump and pex tubing. Our pump is bolted directly to the floor under the fridge, and doesn't make much noise at all.

Most of my noise seemed to be coming from the pex water lines vibrating while the pump was running. I put some pipe insulation on them to stop them from vibrating on the surfaces, helped a lot.

What I did

First thing I discovered was that the pex was connected to the pump. The pump installation says to not do this. I bought a short piece of flexible hose, maybe 2', made a loop in it and installed between pump output and pex.
Next, I had an old mousepad and remounted the pump on that.
Where I could get to, if pex ran through a hole or space in cabinets I put a piece of pool noodle foam material, so any vibration wouldn't sound like a guitar body.
Now we have to try to hear our pump.

I cut my noise in half by mounting it on a piece of foam and adding flexible lines for input and output. I used zip ties to keep the flex lines from touching the thin walls around the pump. I also used soft sponges to keep the pex from touching the walls as it came in and out of the compartment.
