Monitor Panel

First time out with our new to us 2012 Jay Flight TT. Monitor panel doesn’t seem to be working. No indicator lights when flipping water pump and water heater to on. Running off city water pressure which is good, but no hot water. Tank level and battery tact switches do not light up when pressed. Help please!

Have you checked to see if all fuses are good and that there’s no griped breakers?

Failed to mention that. Yes, all fuses are good and no tripped breakers.

Start at the battery and work your way back. Your issue is related to the 12 volt side.

1) Is the battery fully charged?
2) Are the connections to it clean and tight?
3) Is the fuse hear the battery blown, or bad connection?
4) Is the ground connection from the battery to the frame good?
5) Did someone touch the wrong cables to the battery, blowing the reverse polarity fuses
in the fuse/breaker panel?
6) Are you plugged into shore power?
7) Loose positive battery cable connection in the junction box.

Just a few initial places to start checking.

Thank you for the advice. Just went through this and I’m all good 1-7. Have DC/AC power in all other areas. I did just notice range hood has no power either. Mind boggled here.

All those outages are all 12 volt related. Electrical gremlins are no fun, and difficult to trace to a single point long distance. A test light and digital volt/ohm meter are helpful, but you'll have to start tracing from where you do have 12 volts, to where it stops. Maybe someone else has an idea or two, and will chime in for you.

Thank you Sir. Time to put my Fluke meter to work. I did notice that depressing the grey water level tact, it blinks briefly then nothing. Thanks again.

You're welcome. I hope you find the "open" soon. Let us know what you find out.

Well, I have no clue what the deal is. However, as part of my troubleshooting I removed fuses and checked for voltage. All except one gave good voltage, but that one has nothing to do with powering monitor panel. I guess removing fuses and placing them back in did something. Got tact switches working and I can now see that water pump and water heater are running. By the way, that warning on water heater grate that says HOT...yeah, it does get hot. Lol.. The mystery continues, but a least I got power to panel. Thanks again.

I'm glad to hear you've got your important systems back up and running. With electrical issues, you never know when it's one problem or multiple ones causing all of the malfunctions. Fuses can lose contact I guess, and still show as good with a test light, so that was a good find on your part. One step at a time. Thank you for the update!
