New Jayco Owner - Hot Water Tank Question

Good afternoon and glad to be a part of the forum.. Former Forest River Travel Trailer owner so have a decent amount of experience with TT. Just purchased a 2020 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 284BHS yesterday. As I’m reading the owners manual it doesn’t really give you info on where the bypass valves are located. The panel is located on the back of the trailer but not sure where the valves would be. Anyone have experience with this trailer and know where they are located? Thanks in advance.

Try looking under the kitchen sink for a removable panel or around the bathroom sink for one. The panel will be screwed in instead of nailed into place. Mine is under my kitchen sink. I had to play hide and seek when looking to see where Jayco hid them on my dads new Jayco. Looking at your floor plan those are the two places I’m guessing that you’ll find them.

My panel was screwed on with a top and bottom screw. I could hear the pump running behind it if I hadn't known where to look.
I installed two hidden, self closing hinges to make access easier. I then cut off the screws and glued them into the holes to hide the holes with some silicone caulk.

On my 2017 J Flight 23RB, the water heater is behind a panel held in by two screws and located under the refrigerator.

The two low point drain valves are located here also.

I ended up converting the panel into a cabinet door. Much easier and faster to get to the rear of the water heater and the low point drains.

Also, on mine, the shower drain can be reached with some acrobatic agility.

Mine have always been within 1-2' of the hot water heater. Just need to try and find a location from a storage unit or inside behind a panel/cabinet door right next to the hot water heater.

Did you find them? If so where were they?

Ours are located under the rear bench seat of our diner area. Good luck we fond them after we could not get any hot water seems the valves were turned off.
