Greetings Everyone -

Mike from Wisconsin here and this is my very first travel trailer.

I've been looking for a travel trailer (new and used) for a couple years. Last week I picked up a 1993 Eagle 265 FK in what appears to be in really nice shape inside and out; everything seams to work as it should. The OM says it is approx. 4000 lbs. but it might be heavier.
I've already reserved a few sites in WI state parks for this summer and anxious to get out and experience trailer camping.

My tow vehicle is a 2010 Silverado LT 5.3L w/Z an towing packages.

I pulled the trailer 30 miles across county roads and it seemed to trail well, but I was wondering if I need a weight distribution hitch and what are the benefits?
Thanks
