New trailer

Brought home our New 2018 Whitehawk MRB2013 today after a great walk through. Took my wife out to the storage facility after she got home from work and the TV wont come on. The TV should work on battery power correct? Oh and I went to put the slide back in and the 30 amp fuse out by the battery blew!

Welcome to JOF, sorry to hear about your problems. The TV will need 120v shore power to work, not sure why the slide blew the fuse.

The TV needs shore power to work . Try the slide on shore power as well, although it should have worked with the battery. Congrats on the new trailer.

If your trailer is not connected to shore power in storage and you didn't disconnect the battery, is likely the battery had enough power to run the slide out, but not enough to bring it back in.

If the slide is still out, plug in to your tow vehicle and keep the tow vehicle engine running. That should allow you to get your slide back in.

You'll have to make some kind of arrangement to recharge the battery and then disconnect or remove it when in storage. There are drains on the battery even with all the 12volt stuff turned off.

We have the same model though you have a 2018. I have never had any problem with the slide using only the battery. My best guess is that your battery was not fully charged. Even with using a few of the 12 volt items such as lights etc. the battery still should have had enough power for the slide. Reread OldmanAZ and Crabman for the rest. If you are not going to stay connected to 120v. you will need to get a drip charger for your battery to keep it charged. In your other post I suggested replacing the 30 amp fuse with a circuit breaker. My unit also seemed to blow the breakers at first; could have been my inexperience.

Thank you, that is exactly what happen the fuse blew! I would like to change that over to a breaker also, may be above my expertise, but I will check out some videos and research.
