Outdoor Kitchen door rotting out

For those who have Jayco travel trailers and 5ers with the outdoor kitchen, has anyone experienced the outdoor kitchen door rotting out? Our 2013- 334RBTS is only 3 years old and found this week the outdoor kitchen door has rotted out completely internally. Found this while addressing a concern as to how flimsy the door has become this year. Appears the door core is comprised by compressed wood or fiber wood or cardboard. Water was able to infiltrate it and rot it out. This should not happen with a (3) year old coach. I sent a note into Jayco for an explanation and for some help replacing this door. I'm sure it will not be cheap. Appreciate any feedback on this if it been an issue.

Thanks!

On a 3 year old rig not good, not to talk bad about jayco but i see a lot of people here having issues with quality, my 25Z is built like a tank and it's 10 years old if this is the direction jayco is going i will have to reconsider when i trade mine in (really sad)

I am starting to notice on my Eagle the door is looking like delamination in areas then it will look ok again . I only see this on the door. I think mine is doing the same thing. Rain water gets in some how. I agree it probably wont be cheap to replace. However I am glad its just a door I can replace. I am not very happy with this issue. Have you contacted Jayco. Doubt they will do anything. It was a battle to get my front cap painted. If anyone else is having problems like this lets hear it. Maybe we can get something done.

Yes water is getting in mine also while closed. The outside kitchen door. Does anyone know if there is a recall for an issue like this.

Not that I know of,but I do notice after rain or just washing it,when I open the compartment doors the catch on the bottom always has a puddle of water in it,im wondering if that fills up and somehow the wood in the hatch doors is sucking up the water into it and therefore making them bow out.my one door always has rust color running down the inside of it when I open it,but that door isn't bad,the other door that is bowed never leaks anything out of it
